Dog Life Jacket for Swimming

Do any of you have life jackets for your dog to swim in? Winnie loves getting in the water, but she isn’t too keen on swimming. She’ll swim a few feet to chase after a floating tennis ball, but that’s about it. It seems she struggles a bit to keep her head up out of the water, and I’m wondering if a life jacket would help this & let her enjoy her time in the water a little more.

I don’t have one. Mostly because we don’t spend that much time in the water and Jaeger swims like a champ. It wouldn’t hurt to purchase one if you are concerned. I see them on dogs of all shapes and sizes all the time up at the cabin.

Zoie has a jacket from Outward Hound. I like it, we boat and when the river is running fast she wears her jacket on the dock so if she slips and falls in and she has, she has some help staying afloat. The handle on the back makes it easier to pick her up out of the water and if she would get taken away by the current the orange would make it easier to spot.
She is not a happy swimmer, she will wade in but she really doesn’t want to swim.
