Oral Tick/Flea Products

Over the course of the summer, I found a couple of ticks on Winnie after getting home from hikes in the woods…I don’t let her off leash, so she must have picked them up just by sniffing foliage along the trails. The protection from a tick preventative would give me some peace of mind since tickborne diseases are scary for dogs & humans. I’ve been unwilling to use the topical solutions that are so potent I’m supposed to wear gloves while applying, but I’m willing to consider something that is safe enough for consumption. Does anyone have any thoughts on the oral tick prevention chews that are on the market now (Nextgard, Bravecto, etc)?
